Is it possible for an actor living in Europe or Canada to get cast in a US production?

Answer

If a production needs to take care of your work permit and travel and accommodation, it is unlikely that they will choose you over a similarly qualifying local, who doesn't require the extra budget spent. However, if you possess some special talent, have some distinguishing accomplishments or if you already have a work permit and are traveling to the place of production at your own expense, this maybe realistic. In order to be considered for a part, you need to be either represented by an agent, or use one of the casting web-sights that we mention.

Answer

Yes, children can also be represented by agents and their parents can use same sights (listed in resource section of the page) to create a child's resume and apply for parts.
